I ran into this open field full of tall grass and wild flowers and it begged me to bring my camera back. I normally don’t book maternity session but I already had a particular image in my head. And then the phone rang that made it happen. Jeanie was looking for a photographer for her maternity photos. I told her I don’t photograph maternity sessions then she asked “Would you like to try?” I paused for couple of seconds and thought of the field. “Yes” was my answer.
If you’re expecting and would like a maternity session, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, I still have couple of spots opened for holiday mini sessions. Click HERE for additional information.
The room was perfect. Pink table linens with pops of baby pink gerber daisies that matched the birthday banner on the wall. The cake, in perfect unison with the home made dolgorims/towers, summarized the entire theme of the party; little girl dressed in her hanbok holding a butterfly. <3
This is Ella's 1st birthday party.
Tommy celebrated his first birthday party with Washington’s top power players like The Bush family, presidential cabinet members, senators, etc. They are among the hundreds of photos hanging in the famous Peking Gourmet Inn in Falls Church VA. If you live in the DC area and have never been to this restaurant, then you have been missing out on major culinary experience. Their duck is world famous!
Tommy’s mom originally planned a low key family gathering for his dohl but decided to change things up a bit at the last minute. We also scheduled a last minute studio session before his party. Tommy is a fun baby and I had a great time with him.
Here’s Tom-Tom looking ever so handsome in his hanbok.
Sister Emma is goofy and serious and always cute as a button.
This is Mr. Wu and his famous Peking Ducks.
Tommy got on the lazy susan and took turns thanking his guests. Hi-5!!
And the celebration continues . . . Doesn’t she look like a doll?
For Allison’s 1 year portraits, mommy wanted to me to capture Allison doing her thang: reading books in her room. There’s something so sweet about these pictures.
Then we headed to Middleburg, VA where everything is quaint and cute . . .
and ended our session in this gorgeous sun kissed field as Allison transformed into a butterfly….
So many birthdays this month!! September babies are very special to me since I once was one . . . long long long ago. Baby Issac looked more like a toddler than a baby who’s going to celebrate his first birthday. He is big and hefty but 100% teddy bear. Happy birthday to you!
Issac demonstrates the korean bow.
