When I photographed Roman for his 6 month session (click here), I felt a closeness with him since he was only few weeks younger than my boy. And I was reminded how fast baby’s first year goes by.
Check out Roman’s party photos at Wildfire Restaurant.
Olivia’s first birthday party was a whimsical event. The reception room was decorated with birds and flowers. The yellow balloons & flowers lighten up the room. Everything had a cute feminine touch.
Happy Birthday Olivia!

Good to see my past clients grow up. Its been 6 months since Ella celebrated her 1st birthday.
One sentence Benji’s dad said while welcoming everyone that touched my heart . . . “I wake up each morning and can’t believe he is my son.” <3

New Years is one of my favorite holidays. I love celebrating new beginnings with fresh mind set. And mom always cooks my favorite rice cake soup (tthuk-gook), a tradition many Korean families keep. (Check out my friend Lisa’s Korean rice cake & dumpling soup recipe. Her food pictures made me so hungry!) Along with rice cake soup, many Koreans dress in traditional “hanboks“.
Hanboks are also worn during Korean first birthday celebrations. I recently had a chance to photograph twins, Julia & Sophia, dohl party at their home. Their parents chose to celebrate the twins birthday only with family who flew in from Korean & California. Everyone dressed up in their hanboks and looked amazing! It was the smallest guest list I’ve seen but I really enjoyed the traditional experience. Thank you for inviting me to your lovely home and letting me be part of your special day!
